Story:Enter Fiona, Fae royalty who's pretty much just sick and tired of politics. So, breaking all the rules instated by her aunt, the violet-eyed princess sneaks off to the mortal world to have a good time in Manhattan for a few nights. That plan, however, is ruined before Fiona even steps foot out of the park she appeared in due to a demon attack.
Conveniently enough, a sexy werewolf who happens to be the second in command of his wolf pack is patrolling the park at the scene of the attack, saving Fiona's pretty little hide. And of course, since both were injured during the attack, Walker takes this mysterious woman back to his apartment of all places in order to nurse her back to health.... only to have her heal herself and then try to take advantage of him. What's a wolf to do?
I enjoyed the story, despite any sarcastic comments I make about the book.
Rafe and Tess reappear once more in this second installment and are their same witty, sarcastic selves. I'm delighted, and really wish that they had their own book focused on their relationship, but I suppose that's wishful thinking.
Walker and Fiona have an electric relationship, and the sex that they have is definitely steamy. But aside from them having sex, I was somewhat unconvinced at certain scenes about the "realness" of these characters and their relationship. Finoa's immortal and struggles with the fact that her mate is mortal. But then all of a sudden that problem gets conveniently solved by the end of the book. It appeared more like an afterthought than something that genuinely plagued the Faerie princess for a good portion of the story.
Then Walker is a complete ass in the beginning, only to suddenly pounce on Fiona a little while later. Maybe it's just me, but if there was a guy who was so delicious looking that I-melted-into-jello-any-time-he-touched-me, and he was acting like a jerk, I definitely wouldn't want to have sex with him after he treated me horribly for a good two or three days. But Finoa is just incredulous for a good few kisses before she gives in. And he marks her as his mate. The first time they have sex.
Aside from the romance between the two characters taking a backseat to sex, I really did enjoy this book. There was a great plot, and I guessed right on who the bad guy was! Secondary characters were definitely what made the scenes that much more amusing for me. Babbage and Squick were hilarious!
For $4.99 I can't complain too much about certain aspects that I personally did not enjoy. If you liked Wolf at the Door, you probably will enjoy this book, so check it out!

She No Faerie Princess The Others Book 10 Christine Warren 9780312347765 Books Reviews
Christine Warren's second book in The Others series is a better balanced and fleshed out novel than Wolf at the Door (The Others, Book 1), with a stronger narrative and creative world building that enhances the paranormal romance novel's base plot, which admittedly ISN'T the most original (creatures of myth and legend taking steps to come out to the general public about the truth of their existence), sufficiently enough to lift the book out of the doldrums of been-there-read-that and give it a breath of freshness.
Fiona is determined to buck her Aunt Mab's wishes...and Fae law...and get the vacation from court life she so desperately needs. She crosses into the human world and comes face-to-cloven hoof with a demon intent on feasting on her heart. Tobias is beta wolf to the silverback pack and pulling double and triple shifts protecting the humans during the sensitive time of negotiations between Other and humans for recognition and protection under the law. When Fiona's scream of terror sends him hurtling into her life, neither one of them quite regain their equalibrium and the world as they know it becomes more and more dangerous and the delicate negotiations are threatened.
Quickly paced with some depth in plot, with a strong and independent female protagonist and a sexy alpha male protagonist, She's No Faerie Princess (The Others, Book 2) is fun and funny, sexy and sentimental, with surprising depth in emotion in more than one instance. It was also nice to see familiar faces from the first book in the series, and new faces have some intriguing potential. A very good read, and I'm looking forward to the third book in the series, The Demon You Know (The Others, Book 3).
Fiona, niece of the Queen of the Fae, is bored with her life at court. She decides to take a vacation to NYC, even though it's forbidden by Fae rules to cross the veil. Just when she crosses over, she's attacked by a demon. She is rescued by Tobias, a werewolf active in the politics of the Others (ie, werewolves, vampires, etc.) He and his associates have been involved negotiations between the Others and humankind about Others going public. The story is focused on Fiona and Toby coming together, figuring out who is behind a series of attacks in the area, who has closed off the portal and ultimately who is threatening the peace talks with the humans.
This was a fun, quick read -- fast paced, hard to put down, lots of intrigue and politics, good romance and humor. I enjoyed the main characters as well as the supporting cast. The author does a good job building the world and describing the politics and organization of the Others races. I also liked the focus on the Fae and shapeshifters; so many books I've read lately have focused on vampires its a nice change of pace. If you are a paranormal romance fan, this is a good book for you to read. It's not as strong as the leaders in the genre like Cole, Ward, and Frost, but still enjoyable.
