Briskwood Blood Rain Christopher Joubert Books Reviews
This was a fascinating, exciting, and full of mystery book. It will keep you reading until the last chapter is read. I recommend this book for a very good read.
I was lucky enough to get to read all of the drafts of this book! It has really become one of the best books I have read in a long time! There is so much action, I could not put it down! I would give it 10 stars if I could! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who loves a horror/action book!
Briskwood blood rain is a story about a kid named Miles that comes across a zombie like takeover. He employs the help of his friends in this adventure to solve the mystery of his teacher’s death and to stop the creatures from taking over the city! This book is very captivating and a definite page-turner! I would love for this to turn into a series because I have decided to stan! I highly recommend this book to readers of all ages.
I have been waiting to read this book for about a year now, and I’m so happy it is out! The author Christopher, did an amazing job telling the chilling story of Miles. From the first chapter until the last I was completely and uttery captivated in the story. This book is one for people of all walks of life, and age. I would highly recommend this book! I hope the Christopher makes this a series! This book was well worth the wait!!!
This book is basically Stranger Things meets Stephen King's The Mist. So if you like either of those things, I hardcore recommend this book.
It's well-written and combines both the dark, chilling aspects of The Mist with a humorous light touch of Stranger Things. The protagonist, Miles, goes through this story with such a fun and brave attitude that it's hard not to cheer for him. Action packed with twists and turns, it's impossible to put this book down.

Read Briskwood Blood Rain at night during a thunderstorm with a dim lamp on. Seriously.
This book is 1 part race against time, 1 part body horror, and 1 part group of friends that will put you back in your late teens all topped with Protagonist Miles who is done-with-everyone's-bs-but-still-willing-to-save-the-world lawful good. You're constantly wondering what will happen next (a staple in all good thrillers), and at times when you're seriously wondering how Joubert will continue the plot in a believable way he surprises you with sharp plot twists and great use of the world's space. The monsters are a breath of fresh air from your average zombie apocalypse. They fall closer in line with something Dashner-esque, more foreboding than terrifying. Your hair will stand on end from some of Joubert's gorier descriptions, all broken up with witty conversation and our protagonist's believable frustrations with the group of people he is saddled with.
Briskwood Blood Rain is very to the point. The plot is quick and there is no romantic side tracking or far stretched comedic relief. Joubert uses the foreboding theater on a stormy night in juxtaposition with a fast paced plot and interesting monsters to create a nostalgic and foreboding atmosphere. This is a wonderful quick read if you're looking for a no strings attached, blood pumping, and twisting tale. The best part of all if you'll be left with questions... For those of you who like to reflect after finishing a book- Briskwood Blood Rain isn't cut as clean as dry as you might think.
Very well written I couldn’t put it down until the last page Awesome Read
Great read
